Following an incident in Longwood on Thursday, authorities found the body of an unidentified child, as well as a male and a 12-year-old girl in severe condition.
Shortly before 6 a.m., police from the Longwood Police Department were dispatched to the home on Highland Street, where the 12-year-old girl had gone one mile away to a McDonald’s for help.
Both the male and the 12-year-old were rushed to nearby hospitals where they are currently listed in critical condition as a result. The cause of the accident that resulted in the death and injuries was not immediately known.
Investigators told reporters during a press conference that they believe the incident is a domestic one. According to authorities, the children’s mother was not at home at the time of the incident.
Authorities said they are not seeking for a suspect and there is no public danger.
