The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said that a suspect was caught in connection with a July shooting that killed someone at an apartment complex in Tampa.The US Marshals Service in Lee County arrested 25-year-old Darren Day on one count of first-degree murder.
On July 22, a man was shot in the parking lot of the IQ Apartments on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, Hillsborough County deputies said. Investigators say the man was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Deputies were looking for people who drove away from the scene of the shooting, but they didn’t say how many people were involved. Investigators said it’s possible the victim knew the people who did this.
