Books consistently outperform their film counterparts when compared side by side. One of the reasons is that a movie sometimes struggles to express the same images as a book when emotions and visuals are combined. When reading, it’s possible to have an altogether distinct mental picture of a setting or a character, as well as a completely different overall impression of the novel.

The cast of a movie adaptation is typically picked based on the traits mentioned in the novel. But the aesthetics aren’t always that accurate. In light of this, a Vietnamese woman known as MsBananaAnna made the decision to apply artificial intelligence to visualize the appearance of Harry Potter characters based on book descriptions.

In order to find out more about the creator of this initiative and herself, Bored Panda contacted her. The woman identified herself as a 28–year–old Melbourne–based “geek.” Since she was a young child, she has been a huge “Potterhead.” I essentially grew up with Harry, Ron, and Hermoine, and I recall standing in line at the stroke of midnight to get each book.

“ I got the idea to recreate the characters while hunting for Hermione fan art. Despite the fact that I
enjoy Emma Watson, I always felt that she was too attractive to play Hermione in the movies. Since I
couldn’t locate any representations of her that I felt were accurate, I had to create her from scratch.
Since so many people appeared to appreciate it, I decided to create more characters.

There are some characters that resemble those in movies, yet there are others that don’t. Sirius was the one that Ms. BananaAnna liked the best on a personal level. “I believed that came from my mind. While some of the characters did not turn out exactly as I had hoped due to Artbreeder’s restrictions and twiddly nature, I felt Sirius did! Dark and quite attractive.

MsBananaAnna (or, as she goes by lettuce down on Reddit) submitted them.
